The sourcing desk was added later.<\/h2>\n          <p class=\"osh-p\">Most sourcing agents buy freight the same way you would: they call a forwarder, take the rate they are given, and pass the bill along. We started on the other side of that counter. It gets rejected at ours &mdash; at collection, at the airline&#8217;s acceptance desk, at the port gate &mdash; and by then the production run is already paid for and sitting in a warehouse in China.<\/p>\n          <p class=\"osh-p osh-p--last\">Lithium cells are classified as dangerous goods. Moving them legally is not a matter of writing <b>batteries<\/b> on the invoice and hoping. The cargo needs the correct classification, approved packaging, the right marks and labels, a safety data sheet and a dangerous goods declaration prepared by someone trained to prepare it.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n        <div>\n          <p class=\"osh-p\">Get any part of it wrong and the shipment stops. Ship it undeclared &mdash; which is what happens when an agent does not want to lose the order &mdash; and it is worse: undeclared lithium is how buyers lose a container, a customer, and a carrier&#8217;s willingness to move their freight again.<\/p>\n          <p class=\"osh-p osh-p--last\">We hold certification to handle dangerous cargo, so this is classified, packed and declared in-house.
